- Flexible hours (10-25 per week based on interest and availability).
- Flexible tasks (you’ll have a lot of say in the kinds of responsibilities you’d like to try or take on).
- Telework eligible but at times will be required to work in the office
- Occasional work on weekends and outside of the typical 8-5 workday.
- Hourly wage starts at a minimum of $14.00/hour.
- Develop and carry out marketing and communication campaigns to recruit graduate students to Utah State University.
- Help brainstorm, plan, and execute events for both retention and recruitment purposes. These events can include monthly graduate student socials, monthly professional development workshops, annual recruitment weekend visits, and student orientation.
- Create and schedule social media content (SGS currently has accounts on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and YouTube).
- Monitor social media chatter and engage with various USU social media accounts.
- Create marketing materials such as flyers, posters, social media graphics, TV displays, banners, etc.
- Photograph events to use on social media accounts or SGS website.
- Collaborate with departments to create and share stories of graduate student success.
- Create and send email communications.
- Create and send student surveys.
- Process domestic and international transcripts.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
- A can-do attitude and the ability to pick up tasks quickly.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with social media.

- Keen attention to detail.
