Kola and Associates LTD is a medium-sized law firm that focuses on family-based visas and removal defense. We are seeking a new addition to the team who enjoys a fast-paced and high-volume work environment. We encourage long term commitment and passion for immigration law. Our office is located in Glen Ellyn, Illinois but applicants are expected to commute to and from court. We do not offer remote positions; applicants are expected to work from the office. State Bar License is required.

The position requires the following qualifications (which also reflect the expected duties in part):

• 1+ years of experience in preparing and filing family-based applications/petitions including but not limited to waivers, citizenship applications, u-visas, adjustment of status etc.
• 1+ years of experience in Removal Defense (Asylum, Cancellation of Removal, Adjustment, etc.)
• Strong communication skills;
• Experience in drafting memorandums of law and affidavits pertaining to family-based cases and hardship waivers;
• Familiarity and experience in dealing with notifications, RFE's, NOID's and Appeals with the AAO and BIA;
• Experience in drafting and preparing responses to RFE's and NOID's.

The following are additional qualifications that will add to the consideration of candidacy for the applicant; however, it will not replace the above requirements:

• Experience using MyCase
• Experience in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
