Behavior Analyst Responsibilities
Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop treatment plans for children with behavioral, emotional, and developmental concerns with an emphasis on Autism Spectrum Disorders or related disorders utilizing principles of behavior analysis. This may include curriculum assessment, data collection, data analysis, task analysis, functional analysis and goal writing.
  • Provide work direction to Behavior Technicians and Lead Behavior Technicians.
  • Provide clinical supervision to BCBA/BCaBA and RBT as outlined by the BACB regulatory standards.
  • Focus on changing the child's behavior by observing and measuring the behavior in real- life environments.
  • Gather behavioral data to track progress in reaching behavioral objectives identified in the behavior plan
  • Implement learning programs (communication, self-help, and play skills) as written and instructed by the BCBA
  • Collect data on all behaviors targeted and meet with supervisor weekly to analyze the information gathered and participate in initial and ongoing trainings
  • Assist with parent training so family members/caregivers can teach and support skills during typical family activities
  • Document each service activity in Central Reach
  • Complete mandatory training and refresher training
  • Properly report all critical incidents and safety concerns regarding persons receiving services.
  • Ensure that documentation is completed in a timely manner and in accordance with established organizational procedures.
  • Participate in staff meetings as directed by supervisor
  • Model and promote good communication, customer service, and positive representation of the organization to children, families, referral sources and the public.
  • Be available Monday through Friday, day shift
  • Other responsibilities as requested by supervisor

Qualifications
Education & Experience:

  • Previous experience or knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis preferred
  • Masters in Behavior Analysis or related field preferred
  • Certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCABA) preferred
  • Minimum one year experience working with special populations in behavioral intervention

Job Summary
The Behavior Analyst provides behavioral assessment, intervention, and consultation for preschool-aged children and adolescents within our ABA program. The Behavior Analyst in either a Board Certified Behavior Analyst or enrolled in an Applied Behavior Analyst graduate program with BCBA credentialling in their future. The Behavior Analyst is required to adhere to the BACB’s Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts as well as all regulatory and statutory rules in the state of Minnesota.
