About the Team
We are a passionate driven team of unique and diverse individuals who help transform the lives of those who visit and work in the Health District building. The work we do is an important for the health and safety of those who visit the Health District and for our fellow colleagues who work in the building.
Who You Are
You are a dedicated individual who will be responsible for keeping the heating, air conditioning, electrical equipment and all building support systems in operational order. This could include general equipment maintenance, repair or installation of equipment such as pumps, HVAC, boilers, generators, valves, regulators, plumbing, and other related equipment. You will perform with considerable independence in technical diagnostic malfunctions and repairing equipment, utilizing technical equipment and specification manuals.
This career is for you if you have:
- High School diploma or GED.
- Three (3) years of experience in the repair and maintenance of similar equipment; or substituting coursework or training in related trades skills such as electricity, electronics, or air-conditioning for the experience.
- An equivalent combination of education, experience, and certification may be considered.
- Valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance.
- Current forklift certification or the ability to obtain within four (4) months of hire.
It’ll be a bonus if you have:
- First-Class or Second-Class Boiler Operator’s License from the City of Spokane.
- Other technical license such as Electrical, Plumbing, Gas, Heating Mechanic, Refrigeration, Indoor Air Quality (IAQ), are beneficial.

- Full wage scale for the position is $24.78 - $31.63 plus longevity. Typical hiring range is $24.78 - $27.33.
