This position will be located in Houston, within KM’s Transportation and Storage Services Department, reporting to the Manager-Business Processes. The Business Process Management Department includes responsibility for ensuring the Direct Access Request Tracking (DART) computer system is a reliable, stable, accurate and compliant system by establishing and implementing quality control steps focusing on system changes and events (both planned and unplanned). The DART system is the customer facing system used for transportation and storage services across all KM Interstate pipelines, Midstream assets, CO2 business and unique services. This individual is responsible for the management of projects, the analysis of complex business problems, the development of user requirements, and the implementation of cost effective alternatives/system enhancements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

System Integrity

• Manage Business User Requests for changes and enhancements to the DART system.
• Ensure all changes and system solutions are fully compliant with various North American Energy Standards Board (NAESB) standards, FERC gas tariffs, and FERC regulations
• Develop and implement Business User Requests efficiently.
• Utilize the defined Business Processes to request, define, test and implement all modifications/enhancements and Capital Projects Communicate regularly with internal and external customers to understand needs and expectations
  • establish priorities for change requests
  • share issues and track progress/status according to established project deadlines
  • broadly communicate modifications and enhancements to reach consensus from all those impacted.
• Document system issues and test cases
• Ensure that new code and regression testing is performed accurately, efficiently and properly documented by the team
• Coordinate testing during Disaster Recovery exercises and System upgrades

Process Improvement

• Analyze and fully understand complex change requests and resolve competing priorities
• Continually identify process improvements and best practices
• Design and implement process improvements.
• Create and document effective and efficient procedures
• Work to minimize the overall number of change requests when at all possible
• Identify training opportunities and facilitate cross-training

Security and EDI

• Collaborate with multiple teams to determine security needs
• Conduct security audits and report findings
• Manage EDI implementations and customer support for external customers

Position Requirements

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree and minimum 2 years gas industry preferred
• Ability to work multiple issues with varying deadlines across multiple functional areas
• Ability to prioritize issues to ensure projects meet deadlines
• Must be adept at translating customer needs into Business User Requirements.
• Knowledge in the business areas of capacity release, nominations, confirmations, measurement, scheduled quantities, allocations/imbalances and invoicing.
• DART system background is a plus
• Good analytic and problem solving skills
• Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and establish relationships and communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
• Working in a team environment exhibiting excellent leadership skills
• Experience with EDI and knowledge of ANSCI X-12 mapping is a plus
• Understanding of NAESB WGQ Standards and compliance preferred
• Skilled in Excel and SQL preferred
