Job Summary
Under the general supervision of the Sr. Manager, Nursing Business Operations the Clinical Compliance Coordinator (CCC) is responsible for processing, editing, formatting, and publishing all types of Clinical policies and procedures, to include Organizational, Hospital wide, Ambulatory, and Departmental policies, with primary focus on all nursing policies. Works in coordination with the policy management team to properly track clinical policies through the policy lifecycle. The CCC will coordinate assigned clinical policies by: (1) Acting as the central information source for assigned policies; (2) Assisting with end user training, notification of policy due dates, coordination of involved departments, and editing policies; (3) Creating and pulling reports as may be required; (4) Managing the inventory of policies and procedures to make sure all documents are formatted, up to date, and are reviewed in accordance with Tampa General Hospital’s policy. (5) Works to ensure clinical policies are in alignment with current evidence-based practice and regulatory requirements. In addition to policy management duties, will assist the nursing division with continual survey readiness activities. May include the creation, implementation, and maintenance of regulatory action plans. Coordinates with risk and regulatory partners to assist with organizational survey readiness activities. All other duties as assigned. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the shared purpose, vision, and values of Tampa General Hospital.
Qualifications
Required Skills
Bachelor’s degree in nursing Required, master’s degree in nursing or related field preferred. Proven ability to work independently and as a team member. Must show initiative, resourcefulness, and have the ability to multi task. Must exhibit work reflecting a high level of quality and attention to detail with strong organizational skills. Requires intermediate or advanced computer skills with an emphasis in Microsoft Office applications and excellent communication skills. Must be able to learn other systems as may be needed. The CCC must also have the ability to manage own workload and set priorities with minimal supervision. Must be able to review policies, understand the departments involved, communicate to those departments, and assure organized communication to all involved.
