Job description

Responsibilities

• Review work order and print.
• Safetly operate production runs on machine shop tooling, including, but not limited to: milling machines, lathes, EDM machines, presses, bench grinders and sanders, drill press.
• Read prints.
• Submit first piece to inspection to verify conformance of work.
• Move job to next operation as needed.
• Keep machine clean.
• Adhere to safety program practices, including the use of PPE.

Preferred Skills

• Ability to read and interpret machining requirements from engineering drawing.
• Basic knowledge of machinability of materials.
• Ability to follow direction from production supervision.
• Ability to effectively communicate with teams members.
• Ability to work within close tolerances.
• Mechanically inclined, able to troubleshoot problems.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years experience working with machinery required. Experience working in manufacturing setting preferred.
• Able to lift stock into machine and finished parts out.
• Must be able to change tooling in a reach situation.
• Able to stand at machine for a minimum of 7 hours.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime
• Weekend availability

• Troy, MI 48083: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
