Job Summary
- Electrical technician supporting sustaining and development products for downhole oil and gas service.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Assemble and test electrical assemblies for development engineers and sustaining engineers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems associated with the development of prototypes.
- Review and understand electrical schematics and circuits.
- Identify common electrical components.
- Use of oscilloscopes, electric meters, and function generators.
- Performance validation for downhole electronics.
- Maintain proper inventory of lab equipment and supplies on a monthly basis
- Conduct weekly and monthly 5S+1 audit and maintain clean lab area
- Responsible for the safety of self and others including reporting of all work-related injuries, near misses, equipment damage and unsafe acts as soon as practicable to supervisor or senior technician.
Minimum Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years experience working with electrical circuits and assemblies.
- Must be electrically adept; able to use a variety of assembly tools and test equipment.
- Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in the US, without sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous downhole oil and gas development technician experience preferred.
