The DevSecOps Engineer will work collaboratively with the software engineering teams in conducting Vulnerability scans, coordinate deployment and operations, and other daily Security and Compliance efforts. Additionally, you will assist in developing an automated security framework for robust deployment tools and processes, leveraging various scripting languages and open-source solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Managing, building, configuring, administering, operating, and maintaining all components that comprise the DevOps environment
• Developing and maintaining scripts to automate tool deployment to an AWS cloud environment and other tasks
• Scripting and maintaining build environments. Help automate and streamline operations and processes
• Working with project teams to integrate their products into the DevOps environment and work closely with front-end and API engineers to identify product packaging needs
• Defining Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment processes and best practices
• Developing automated testing framework within DevOps processes
• Control, plan and direct all aspects of planned software updates and code promotions, ensuring that only approved and validated changes are introduced.
• Develop and maintain release plans, version description documentation, implementation plans, and release notes.
• Participate in product analysis and design sessions to understand DevSecOps needs
• Perform DevOps tooling and component analysis in support of continuous improvement
• Perform application and infrastructure monitoring and alert notification using AWS CloudWatch, NewRelic and other monitoring tools.
• Work in an agile environment, delivering incremental product functionality in short iterations

Required Skills:

• Experience working with Developers, DevOps, and Engineering teams in a dynamic environment to support the implementation of the DevSecOps program throughout the organization.
• Experience with CloudBees Core, JFrog Artifactory, JFrog X-ray
• Experience with continuous integration tools such as, Jenkins, Bamboo
• Experience working with agile tools like Jira, GitHub, and Confluence
• Hands-on development with Ansible, terraform, and Python scripting languages.
• Experience with data-driven software and application troubleshooting using monitoring and collection tools such as New Relic, Splunk, ELK, kubectl, etc.
• Experience deploying multi-tier software architecture in virtual infrastructure (Kubernetes and AWS).
• Comprehension in the security areas of Key Management Systems, Certificate Management, Encryption, Penetration Testing, Vulnerability Scanning, Security and Monitoring tools, etc.
• Knowledge of Windows and Linux patch management and related information security functions (authentication, encryption, iptables, SSL, Ciphers, etc)
• Ability to solve problems while considering timeliness, effectiveness, and practicality in addressing product needs
• Ability to implement DevOps pipelines using Jenkins or another suitable DevOps automation tool(s)
• Ability to implement Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery and Deployment (CD)
• Ability to identify and apply security hardening across DevOps product components (docker containers, db, etc).
• Ability to establish scalable, fault-tolerant and highly-available operating environments on the AWS cloud
• Demonstrate strong collaboration and inter-team skills- ability to listen and consider input from team members

Desired Skills:

• Experience in implementing DevOps within CMS environment.
• Certification in AWS
• Certification in DevOps

Education/Experience Level:

• 5+ years of experience
• Bachelor's or master’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology related field (preferred).
