The Opportunity
The downstream operator has an important priority to ensure the efficient operation of the Tetra Pak packaging equipment, and to ensure the packaging follows the compliance of the customer specifications while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
This position is a 2nd
shift position, working Monday through Friday, from 3 pm to 11:30 pm. This position pays $19.00 with shift differentials.
Responsibilities

Complies with good manufacturing practices.

Monitors and fixes faults as well as clearing any material jams in equipment.

Conducts required quality checks and documentation.

Maintains clean area around equipment.

Maintains communication within the production team ensuring smooth shift transitions, etc.

Technical Support in appropriate maintenance activities.

Monitors raw materials and supplies to ensure efficient production.

Judge and prioritize downtime events.

Ensure adequate supply of packaging materials and communicate resource requirements for replenishment.

Determine acceptable quality ranges on packaging and when to shut down as required.

Coordinate communication between palletizing and filler operations.

Provides back-up to QA in his/ her absence (vacation, time off, sickness, etc.).

Experience
-
High school diploma or equivalent required
-
Manufacturing related experience preferred.

Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills required.

Knowledge of good manufacturing practices preferred.

Tetra Pak operational experience preferred.

This is a full-time role on 2nd shift based out of our Verona, Virginia manufacturing facility.
