Salary Range: $52,000.00 to $65,000.00 per year DOE.

Job Summary

Pacific Channel Transportation is recruiting exceptional candidates to work as Night Shift, Full-time, Freight Pick-up and Delivery Drivers (Non-CDL). This role involves the timely pickup, labeling, loading and delivery of shipments, using the equipment, policies and procedures required by the company.

Duties and responsibilities

• Ability to work Nightshift, Tuesday through Saturday.
• Proven record of reliability.
• Exceptional customer contact and driving skills.
• Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Loading, unloading, lifting, and transporting merchandise in order to serve our customers.
• Drivers will be required to interact with customers, warehouse leaders and associates, and store leader and associates.
• Drivers will also be expected to systemically update orders via a handheld device.
• 80% Driving and delivering product to our customers - TASKS (associated w/ responsibility above):
• Drive a non-CDL vehicle (box trucks under 26,000 lbs. gross weight or smaller) on local routes.
• Communicate delivery updates to customers.
• Load the truck in an efficient manner for unloading and confirm customer orders.
• Climb in and out of delivery cab to accommodate customer deliveries throughout the day.
• 20% Systemically updating the status of orders:
• Ensure all systemic updates to orders are accurately and timely entered into handheld device.

Qualifications

• Requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward.
• Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Valid, active Class C Driver's License.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record and Background.
• 3-years of Non-CDL Driving Experience.
• Ability to load and unload heavy items up to 70 lbs.
• Must pass DOT physical, criminal check and drug screen.
• As a non-CDL Driver, you must be a team player with excellent customer service skills and the commitment to succeed.
• Qualified candidates are self-motivated, responsible, highly organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment all with a positive attitude.
