Job Summary:
WSU Tech embraces the use of instructional technologies in all teaching modalities. The position of Technology Coordinator supports the WSU Tech community members as they engage with technologies that enhance teaching and learning. Working with a variety of technologies found in the WSU Tech COLAB as well as the Learning Management System (Blackboard) the Technology Coordinator is responsible faculty, staff, and students in the effective integration of instructional technologies into their projects. The Technology Coordinator will provide superior customer service while ensuring the effective usage of all WSU Tech technologies

Quick Glance of Duties and Responsibilities:

- MRW Support
- Enrolls students into courses on the Genius LMS
- Provides Genius training to instructors. Tracks user participation
- Provides Genius technical support
- Generates Genius monthly reports
- Provides MRW event / training / programmatic support
- Supports MRW Program Director with course development support
Technology Support Activities (50% of time averaged out over an academic year)
Other Duties
- Manages CoLab
- Hires and trains Work Study students
- Maintains and troubleshoots equipment
- Identifies and investigates emergent technology
- Trains faculty and students in use of the facility
- Provides event and promotional support for facility
- Assists in supporting the HyFlex rooms
- Provides Genius support for non-credit courses
- Provides Digital Badging technical support
- Provides effective and cutting-edge instructional technologies to all patrons
- Working in coordination with the LMS Administrator this position will perform LMS tasks including but not limited to:
- Monitors LMS Performance & Ticket System
- Investigates, analyzes, researches, and resolves problems related to the integration between LMS and the college other major systems including but not limited to Banner and WIDS.
- Performs daily operational duties associated with the COLAB including but not limited to:
- Facilitates scheduling of COLAB media, virtual, and collaboration rooms and stations
- Facilitates scheduling and tracking of mobile studio services and equipment
Education, Experience, Knowledge & Skills Needed:
- Bachelor’s degree required, in Education or Technology related field, preferred.
- Teaching or training experience, required.
- Experience in Learning Management System, required. Administration features in Blackboard preferred.
- Experience in Third Party Application integration in Blackboard preferred
- Experience in video/audio creation and editing preferred.
- Virtual and augmented reality experience preferred.
- Experienced in the use and application of virtual technology and web conferencing preferred
- Strong Microsoft Office skills to include Teams.
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
Pay Rate: $45,000 /yr
Schedule: M-F, 8a-5p; South
