EHS Specialist

What you’ll do:

As a EHS Specialist, you will contribute to the goal of a zero EHS incident World and promote a zero tolerance EHS culture. This includes:

  Providing an injury-free and incident free workplace, create awareness to prevent all work-related disabilities or health problems.
• Control and minimize the risks associated with our products for their total life cycle and to choose production processes and products such that the use of raw materials and energy is minimized.
• Evaluates and improves practices, processes, and products continuously to insure they are safe and acceptable to employees, the customers, the public and the environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide support during external EHS audits executed on site.
• Provide technical & behavioral EHS leadership/support to the site Management.
• Compose the EHS-plan of the site & execute the plan, to provide an injury-free and incident-free workplace and to prevent all work-related disabilities or health problems.
• Ensure that the EHS management system is in place, maintained, improved, and evaluated regularly.
• Ensures every day through a visible “on the floor” presence and support at different workplaces that the site is managed in a safe and environmentally acceptable manner, by complying with all DSM EHS and Security requirements, other relevant requirements, regulations, and best practices.
• Train to and enforce compliance of the site with DSM EHS requirements, work processes and other EHS rules and regulations including local laws and regulations.
• Follows EHS targets and EHS Key Performance Indicators and ensure adequate management reporting of the EHS performance of the site.

You bring:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred but will consider experience in the field in lieu of education requirement.
• Minimum 5 years in manufacturing and EHS-related positions
• Experience with HAZOP, Machine Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Job Safety Analysis, LOTOTO, Confined Space Entry & Rescue, Safe Work Permits.
• Understanding of necessary systems and software (MS Office) used for reporting, analysis, etc.
