Bestway Oilfield is a family owned and operated company specializing as a API 6A manufacturer of frac valves and related components. Bestway provides custom design frac stacks, missiles, and flowback manifold equipment. There are 5 locations near all of the major shale plays in the United States and 1 location in Grande Prairie, Canada to provide equipment sales, sub-rentals and repair services to better serve our customers.
Background:
We are looking for a Controller to join our growing company. As a key member of the accounting and finance team, the Controller will report directly to the CFO and play a critical role in building, managing, and developing the accounting team and processes as our company grows and restructures.
As a privately held family-owned company, we are diversifying our product line and expanding our footprint. In this environment, the role presents an incredible learning opportunity and will include exposure to a variety of accounting processes and business process optimizations in a work-life balance environment. You will assist in the assessment of current processes and develop recommendations for best practices while exploiting the inherent functionality of the operating and accounting systems.
Job Summary:
The Controller will lead all aspects of accounting, including corporate accounting, financial reporting, management of the external review, post-acquisition integration, as well as assisting with budgeting and forecasting processes. A successful candidate will also possess the ability to work hands-on in a flat organization initially and utilize strong collaborative skills to initiate change management.
Each day, you will be responsible for maintaining the company’s overall system of accounts, handle daily cash management, and prepare cash flow analyses and forecasts. You will oversee month-end and year-end accounting close processes including preparing required journal entries. The Controller will coordinate the annual audit and evaluate and recommend changes to policies and procedures.
Secondary responsibilities:
· Ability to formalize policies and procedures
· Interpret accounting standards and successfully implement for adherence to GAAP
· Ad-hoc analysis for the executive leadership team
· Fixed asset, rental equipment and inventory tracking
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field
· CPA desired but not required
· 8+ years of progressive accounting experience and 2+ years of leadership experience
· Small to medium size business with manufacturing experience strongly preferred
· Strong excel skills for data analytics and financial statement presentations
Working hours:
8:00AM – 5:00PM Monday to Friday (On site – Channelview, TX)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $110,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
