Head of Marketing:

The Head of Marketing will oversee, coordinate, and participate in the development of marketing strategies and products for the organization, including the Ames, TapeTech, Asgard and All-Wall brands. This includes brand management of multiple company brands, promotional and advertising activities, trade show participation and social media activity.

• The Head of Marketing is a “working manager” position. The successful candidate will actively participate with the Marketing team to:
• Direct and implements the organization’s strategic and tactical marketing plans
• Create advertising and promotional strategies.
• Direct content creation for company websites and social media.
• Manage content maintenance on company websites.
• Lead social media activity.
• Analyze target market information to identify and recommend effective marketing approaches.
• Identify new market segments that will benefit from company products.
• Prepare effective advertising campaigns based on market research.
• Maintain knowledge of emerging products and services.
• Collaborate with senior executives to develop growth plans for the organization.
• Forecast, draft, implement, and oversee the department’s operating budget.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• This position will require up to 20% travel.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: The Head of Marketing leads the Brand marketing team – including social media – and the Merchandise team.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
• At least seven years of experience in Brand and Channel marketing.
• Knowledge of in-store merchandising strategy.

• Documented experience managing company activity on social media platforms.
• Documented experience coordinating content creation to drive brand awareness and product demand.
• Demonstrated Leadership and decision-making skills.
• Strong Merchandising, product, and analytical skills.
• Proficient in the use of desktop applications and Windows-based programs (Excel and PowerPoint) is preferred.

• Retail math literacy and the application of such concepts to daily operations is required.

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as departmental reports and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
