A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A SENIOR DIRECTOR, HR BUSINESS PARTNER
HomeRiver Group is searching for a Senior Director, HR Business Partner. In this role, you will report directly to the Senior Vice President of HR and be the HR Leader responsible for providing talent strategy and execution for HomeRiver Group's nationwide Retail business and Centers of Excellence. This highly visible role incorporates HR subject matter expertise, business acumen and a strong action orientation to deliver impactful talent solutions within a fast paced and dynamic business environment. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to drive organizational effectiveness in key business areas and play an integral role in building a high performing HR team as HomeRiver Group continues to grow and scale.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner closely with Field Operations and COE leadership teams to establish trust, credibility and be seen as a fellow business leader.
- Align the business and HR strategy with an emphasis on identifying and developing the key talent levers which will enable business success.
- Provide strong strategic guidance and support to Field Operations and Centers of Excellence leadership teams across a nationwide geography.
- Proactively anticipate the business needs of client groups, including organizational development, change management and leadership development.
- Partner with business leaders to create a high performing organization through a focus on employee engagement, performance management and team effectiveness.
- Responsible for ensuring that client groups have the appropriate mix of talent to meet current and future business or functional needs.
- Serve as an advisor to management for employee relations issues and employment-related legal issues and ensures local compliance with federal, state, provincial, and local employment laws.
- In collaboration with the Learning & Development, Talent Acquisition and Total Rewards teams, develop and execute people strategies that attract, retain, and engage top talent.
- Work closely with the Total Rewards & HR Technology team to recommend processes, tools, and best practices to drive efficiency in processes, service delivery, and synergy across the HR organization, create consistency across business functions and improve knowledge sharing.
- Act as leader within the HR team by actively supporting HR initiatives, mentoring teammates, being an advocate and promoting the values and behaviors of HomeRiver Group and the HR organization.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 10 years of HR experience with a successful track record of effectively partnering with the business to solve business challenges through impactful talent initiatives.
- Experience and credibility as a leader in an environment where the ability to influence and build relationships is critical.
- Has strong business acumen and results orientation and is a highly effective communicator at all levels of the organization.
- Proven success at building relationships and the ability to understand the business needs of client groups.
- Demonstrated ability to provide practical and effective HR initiatives and processes that can quickly add value to the business.
- Comfortable working in a fast paced, high growth environment with the ability to self-manage multiple priorities and deliverables.
- Ability to interpret and analyze data in the development of proactive solutions that support business objectives and overall HR strategy.
- Experience supporting field-based teams strongly preferred.
- Experience using ADP Workforce Now a plus.
- Bachelor's Degree required; advanced degree preferred.
