Professional Golfers Career College is seeking a qualified instructor to teach our Microsoft Office courses for our Temecula California campus location. The position will require you to teach two courses which each run once a week for 2 hours. You will be providing students with an introduction to the basics of the Microsoft Office Suite Programs, such as Word, Power Point, Excel, and guide them in utilizing these tools towards their careers, such as resume building in Word and creating tee sheets with Excel.

Course Descriptions:

DP-115: Word Processing - This class will provide the student with the basic understanding of Excel usage. The student will gain understanding through the Intermediate level in MS Word and Power Point.

DP-215: Microsoft Office Suite - This class will provide the student with the understanding of Microsoft Office Suite as it applies to resumes, cover letters and other types of business letters. The student will also use Excel to create tee sheets and starting sheets. (Prerequisite: DP 115)

Instructor Responsibilities:

• Instruction: Build a lesson plan, provide instruction to help prepare and educate our students in all aspects of business law. Provide assessment of students’ progress and assist students to ensure a positive learning experience.
• Manage the Classroom: Maintain class schedule, correctly provide student attendance and grade records, keep a safe and welcoming learning environment which provides opportunities for student interaction and evaluation.
• Be a Team Member: At PGCC cohesion of the faculty and instructors is essential in providing a great learning experience. You’ll be expected to participate in faculty meetings and other college events. Must be a cooperative and professional team player.
• Provide Guidance and Support to Students: As an instructor, along with teaching, you are expected to act as a role model and mentor to students assisting them to accomplish their educational and professional goals.
• Be Professional: Meet Professional Golfers Career College standards of professionalism and appropriate attire and appearance.
• Continual Curriculum Development: Develop, continually refresh and revise your curriculum and instructional materials to provide the most relevant information within your course while keeping within the college requirements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or specialized computer training.
• Efficient in providing clear communication and able to interact with a diverse group of individuals.
• Computer proficient and able to use standard professional applications like Microsoft Office which support education and instruction.
• A student centric teaching philosophy placing emphasis on student learning in the execution and delivery of the courses.
• A passion for golf and the golf industry is not required, but a plus.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour

• 4 hour shift
