What is the role?
You will start in our Go Boot Camp and Immersion, a four-week program educating you on the Go culture, values, and principles we use every day with customers. Like most of your colleagues in Boot Camp you will not likely have had any experience with customers and claims, but by the end you will be fully equipped to delight customers.
You will join our Claims team, delivering a simple, fast and reliable experience for our customers when they are in an accident. All of us can remember a time we or someone we know had a challenging time with their insurance company when they were in an accident. You are part of the team that is defining an experience that has never happened before. For example, Go customers have NFTs for their cars, Go customers get responses in seconds not days, and Go customers get their payments instantly in mobile wallets.
There are multiple opportunities to further your career across the department or the company, with the majority of Claims team members progressing towards opportunities in our Product, Marketing, or Support teams. You could also go on to take up a Leadership position, or take on a more specialized claims role in our Specialized Claims team.
Claims
As a Go Claims team member — you will not be just an adjuster, and instead will be using data, software and services to provide a next-generation experience for our customers. Our brand promise is when a customer has a claim to be taken care of the way they want. With our top-ranked iPhone app, leading edge software, and rapid online payments (the fastest in the industry), you will be delivering an experience that customers regularly rate five stars. On any given day, we are supporting close to 50,000 drivers across most of the United States. From helping a customer with an unexpected fallen tree, to a light collision, to a truly urgent situation, you are part of a team that customers rely on in challenging situations and provide real relief.
You need to have:
- The ability to join Go Boot Camp and Immersion
- A Bachelor’s degree (or above) or relevant work experience
- Pass insurance licensing exams during the Go Boot Camp
- Passion for helping customers in real-world situations with real impact (add your favorite app in the subject line of your application)
- The resilience to learn and adapt quickly in a dynamic environment
- Excellent communication skills on text, phone and email (list your three favorite foods in the notes section)
- Strong ambition to pursue a meaningful career, with a deep interest in making an impact
Location:
- Work From Anywhere (WFA). We provide a great remote work set up with a new MacBook, large monitor, standing desk, AirPods, even an Oura ring and more
- We are also soon launching our new remote workspaces at both members-only SoHo Works in LA and NY, as well as new spaces in Austin and Phoenix
- As a Go team member you can be WFA 100% of the time or see other team members in our remote workspaces every day

About Go
Go is an insurance company built on the belief that most accidents don’t need to happen. Go studied traffic patterns and noticed that over the past 100 years, 90% less accidents occur today. They believed if you created a ”SafeMap” that measured traffic patterns to show not just the shortest or fastest route like Google Maps or Waze — but the safest routes based on 100 years of data — you could help even less accidents happen. This would be beneficial for Go to make money as an insurance company with less accidents, and would also be beneficial for drivers who would get hurt less by not being in accidents, and have lower rates.
In March 2020, when the pandemic began, Go looked at its Safe Map and could see that less than half the drivers were on the road. It then asked the question “if half of us are on the road, why not offer half prices?” Go further saw that the only drivers that were on the road were Essential Workers. It then cut rates in half and its business grew from $0 to $80mm in a little under two years. As a Go Insurtech Claims Specialist — you will no longer just be an adjuster, and instead will be using data, software and services to provide a next-generation experience for our customers that have claims. Our brand promise is when a customer has a claim to be taken care of the way they want. We are a unit. We set priorities, solve challenges, and execute.
Requirements
- Passionate about being part of a next-generation claims experience
- Desire to contribute to an operation that is moving manual labor to automation, enabling us to give our customers more time for their most important priorities
- Familiarity with a team environment using data, software, and services to advance operations
- 2+ years experience directly handling car insurance claims @ a top 30 insurer
- Passionate about mobile apps (add your favorite one in the subject line of the application)
- Excellent communication skills on text, phone and email (list your three favorite foods in the notes section)
- Proficient in reading, understanding, and communicating vehicle repair estimates
- Licensed as a P&C adjuster in Texas, and able to get licensed in California in your first two months
