Job description
Kean Miller has an opening for a litigation paralegal to work in our downtown Houston office.
With 190 attorneys from offices in Houston, The Woodlands, Baton Rouge, New Orleans, Lafayette, Lake Charles, and Shreveport, Kean Miller serves the legal needs of the people, businesses, and industries that drive the regional economy.
Duties:
- Preparation of pleadings: deposition notices; petitions; subpoenas; requests for production of documents; interrogatories; request for admissions and others.
- Responsible for filing and service of pleadings (e-file and e-serve) .
- Knowledge of filing dates and timetables for various pleadings in various courts and responsible for calendaring.
- Experience managing medium to large-scale document productions and coordinate electronic discovery.
- Responsible for document organization and production, including bates-labeling, redacting, and indexing of documents.
- Summarizing depositions

Experience and Education Requirements
- A Bachelor’s or Associates degree, as well as a Paralegal Certificate from an ABA approved school is highly desired.
