Overview:
Maintenance Policy Program Analyst in Huntsville, Alabama supporting the US Army Aviation and Missile Command, G-3. The G-3 provides situational awareness, command analysis and operational and acquisition-system integration and strategic planning. These efforts strengthen internal and external communications and provide improved operational fidelity and continuity across the command organization.
Responsibilities:
  • Research, recommend, develop, maintain, and update required changes to Army maintenance policy and procedures (Army regulations, technical manuals, DA pamphlets, DOD).
  • Ability to perform technical functions within the scope of Army Maintenance Policy.
  • Participate in policy working groups; provide maintenance policy subject matter expertise and operational impact assessment to customer.
  • Work closely with Government service owners to identify needed projects and understand status of on-going projects.
  • Serve as liaison between customer and internal management ensuring that work within area of responsibility is complete, meets customer requirements, and is of high quality.
  • Work with cross-functional team to maintain the status of schedules, coordinating efforts with contracting specialists, budget analysts.
  • Report status of projects accurately and timely including key issues, delays in timelines, and timely escalation to key stakeholders and sponsors
  • Aid in maintenance / assessment of governance policies and processes to manage requirements, tools and infrastructure.
  • Participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to create and manage requirements as a part of the Governance Process.
  • Perform Analysis of Alternatives for Technical Solutions as a part of the Governance Process and in limited cases work with vendors to develop implementation schedules for production of required solutions.
Qualifications:
  • Must currently possess an active and transferrable DoD security with active investigation at the required level. Must be able to maintain the required clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree required or may substitute equivalent and relevant work experience in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum of 11 years of related work experience.
  • Strong verbal and written skills.
  • Must meet applicable COVID safety requirements and protocols.
