About the role:
As the Manager for TQL Global's Air Freight Forwarding Operations, you will be responsible for the development and growth of our domestic and international Air Freight Forwarding business. Established in 2018, you will have the opportunity to lead one of the newest groups under the TQL Global umbrella. Historically, we promote our managers internally, but our rapid growth and creation of new services has created opportunities for highly driven leaders to join the TQL Global family.

What you'll be doing:
- Oversee the provision of air freight forwarding services to TQL Global’s customers
- Develop, implement and continuously enhance airfreight operational procedures
- Map company process flows and continuously review to identify efficiency gains
- Establish and manage relationships with origin counterparts and destination partners
- Strategically grow a network of air carriers
- Lead negotiation of rates and contracts with air carriers
- Develop and build a domestic Authorized Representative carrier base
- Stay current with developments and changes in applicable laws, regulations and other government requirements
- Collaborate with our legal and global compliance team to ensure operations are compliant with TSA requirements, laws, regulations, other government filings and requirements and company standards
- Assist in the recruitment, onboarding and continuous development of best-in-class air import/export talent
- Serve as the Indirect Air Carrier Security Coordinator for TQL Global
What you need:
- 5+ years of air freight forwarding experience
- Meet the requirements for serving as TQL Global’s IACSC
- Proven ability to establish or enhance air import/export operational functions
- Strong understanding of applicable TSA requirements, laws, regulations and other government requirements
- Results oriented with the drive to grow an international air freight forwarding business
- Experience participating in the creation of strategic planning initiatives
- Strong analytical skills with a systematic problem-solving approach
