JAMES MARINE, INC. has an immediate openings for Experienced Manual Machinists at our facility located in Paducah, KY.

Summary:

Responsible for the creation and the repair of boat driveline components. Must be able to operate a multitude of machinery to complete job duties.

Essential Job Functions:

· Associate must be able to safely operate various machines throughout machine shop which includes but is not limited to lathes, mills, welders, presses and saws.

· Associate must be able to transport materials to appropriate workstation by utilizing overhead crane.

· Associate must be able to operate heavy equipment such as fork lifts to transport materials to/from machine shop.

· Associate must be able to read/comprehend technical documents and blueprints to allow for proper production of materials.

· Associate must be able to perform manual MIG, TIG and stick welding.

· Associate must be able to create custom materials such as gaskets to ensure proper sealing of components.

· Associate must be able to access various vessel locations to perform measurements/inspections of driveline components.

· Associate must be able to perform preventative maintenance (PM) and reactive maintenance on all machines.

· Associate must be able to perform basic cleaning duties and maintain an orderly shop.

Qualification Standards & Specialized Skill:

· Ability to safely and successfully perform any/all essential job functions.

· Ability to meet and maintain all qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.

· Ability to maintain reasonably regular and punctual attendance.

· Compliance with all personnel policies and practices.

· On the job training, regular training and re-certification required.

· Ability to work alone for extended periods and in teams

· Must be at least 18 years or older to apply

Educational Requirements:* High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
