Manufacturing Supervisor - 3rd Shift

Who we are looking for:
We are currently looking for a Shift Supervisor (3rd shift, 11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.) to be based out of Pueblo, Colorado. Reporting to the Production Control Manager, this person will be responsible for supervising all personnel on a shift and could be asked to provide recommendations for hiring, performance evaluations, transfers, promotions, demotions, disciplinary actions, or recommendations on any personnel action, as well as day-to-day supervisory responsibilities.
What you’ll do:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Promote a safe working environment, enforcing all safety rules and procedures including proper PPE as required
- Work with operators to safely maximize production in all areas, including staffing for the product mix, extra duties, and performance feedback
- Monitor attendance, manage vacations, scheduling and staffing to cover daily and weekly vacancies
- Instruct crew and educate members about the operating lines and various products
- Ensure that crew members are cross trained and teach troubleshooting procedures
- Review daily production reports for accuracy by the end of the shift
- Identify and resolve quality issues
- Perform incident reporting and investigation
- Identify and implements steps for improvements
- Conduct monthly safety meetings and other training meetings
- Adopt and enforce company policies
- Maintain housekeeping and clean work areas and tooling according to 5S and Lean philosophies
- Other duties as assigned.
What you’ll bring:
- High School Diploma. Degree in a technical, engineering or relevant field will be an advantage
- 2 years relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment or experience as Production Supervisor or similar role
- Experience in using various types of manufacturing machinery and tools
- Advanced skills in MS Office
- Organizational and leadership abilities
- Communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
- Problem-solving skills
- Experience using Lean principles and a Continuous Improvement philosophy in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Within 3 months, you’ll:
- Complete any required training
- Have developed relationships with key stakeholders for this role
- Be well-versed in the importance of your role to daily operations.
