Job Description
Mission Technologies a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries is looking for a qualified individual to fill the role of Multi-Warfare Subject Matter Expert to be a part of the Navy Surface Warfare Center Corona, CA (NSWC Corona) Modeling & Simulation (M&S) Directorate in support of the Navy Training Baseline (NTB) and Navy Continuous Training Environment (NCTE). NCTE provides modeling and simulation application development, live, virtual and constructive systems integration support and in-service engineering support to US Fleet Forces (USFF), the numbered fleets, Navy systems commands, US Combatant Commanders and Navy Warfare Centers of Excellence (WCOEs). This person would work with a team that manages high-visibility projects as well as establishing and maintaining a process engineered to identify, publish and sustain various releasable versions of the Navy Training Baseline suite of simulation software applications.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Analyzes and provides recommendations on issues dealing with disciplines such as military command control and communications, electronic warfare, weapon systems, contingency operations, Military Tactics Techniques and Procedures (MTTP), force planning, and training exercises.
- Coordinates with user community representatives throughout all phases of development concerning requirements definition, clarification, prioritization, and alternatives. Analyzes the conduct and results of operational user training, military maneuvers or simulated wartime operations undertaken to main the capabilities of a force.
- Compares, analyzes and evaluates the relative merits of program designs and alternatives.
- Applies emerging doctrine and tactics, whether detailed in formal doctrinal changes or emanating from Advanced Warfighting Experiments (AWEs), Advanced Technology Demonstrations (ATDs), or Force XXI activities, to system design and development.
- Assesses the impact of programmatic and technical options on stated user requirements and doctrine.
- Prepares reports and briefs summarizing support requirements, deficiencies, and investments for various programs and systems.
Minimum Qualifications
2 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 0 years experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years relevant experience.
- Must be a US Citizen, able to obtain a Secret security clearance.
- Military domain experience is required
- Recent US Navy Surface Warfare (Combat Systems) operational experience is required
Preferred Requirements
- Microsoft Office proficient
- Excellent written and verbal communication skill
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance
- JSAF operations experience a plus
- Modeling & Simulation experience/development a plus
