Job Summary/Purpose: The Payroll Analyst II reports to the Payroll Manager. Under general supervision, the Payroll Analyst II assists in the preparation, processing and maintenance of MUHA's bi-weekly payrolls and supports reporting for detailed labor accounting utilizing a Time and Attendance System. This position reviews time and attendance entries and various deductions that are exceptions to the normally scheduled work periods, bi-weekly reporting to support operations in tracking quality, production, and service standards. This role functions as a liaison with Human Resources, Timekeepers, Schedulers, and Managers regarding accurate and timely payroll processing information.
Minimum Training and Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and one year of directly related payroll information services and/or Payroll work experienced required at a large and complex organization; or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or work experience. Considerable knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping practices; ability to accurately make mathematical calculations; ability to solve problems on an on-line, real-time financial system; and ability to enter information accurately and quickly. Must be able to apply policy and procedure to daily work operations. Must be able to operate standard office equipment. Employee must possess the ability to communicate verbally per telephone and in person in a professional manner.
