Job description
We are seeking an Outreach Manager who loves connecting with people and helping others to work at Master Center for Addiction Medicine! We are a private, outpatient addiction medicine treatment center headquartered in Glen Allen, Virginia. We have additional offices in Chesterfield, Hampton, Gloucester and the Middle Peninsula and Northern Neck and we are expanding to provide services to other communities in need, particularly rural communities, where addiction treatment may be difficult to access. Our approach to addiction is comprehensive, evidence-based and individualized, drawing on every tool that has been proven effective: medical treatment, education, psychiatry, professional counseling, testing/monitoring and peer support services. Our aim is not just to treat patients but to heal them – by helping each one find their way to lifelong recovery.
The Outreach Manager reports to the Director of Client Development. The Outreach Manager has management responsibilities and is committed to creating important relationships with referral partners within the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. Regular travel and onsite work is required for this position.
It is important that the Outreach Manager for the Hampton Roads area creates, develops and fosters relationships within the community that we serve. The job requires keen attention to detail and the ability to multitask combined with patience, empathy, and respect for others. This is a position that will involve a significant amount of time in-person and remotely with referral partners and patients, and it requires the ability to communicate effectively in-person, over Zoom calls and over the phone with patients, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with other team members regarding patient care, workflows and operational aspects of the job.

DESCRIPTION: The Outreach Manager is responsible for creating relationships with community resources in the region, including therapists, sober living, law enforcement, hospitals, medical providers, and others that need to refer for substance use disorder treatment. The Outreach Manager will work with the business development team to develop referral pathways and collaborative relationships with referral partners. The Outreach Manager is responsible for coordinating with the other teams as needed.
Outreach Duties and Responsibilities:
- Establishes and maintains referral relationships with therapists, law enforcement, hospitals, medical providers, and others that need to refer for SUD treatment.
- Schedules presentations with appropriate resources on Master Center model of care and services.
- Coordinates and participates in events under the direction of the Director of Client Development
- Serves as primary contact for referrals in the Hampton area and coordinates with Richmond-based team for insurance verification and intake appointment.
- Documents referral partner outreach in HubSpot and coordinates with Director of Client Development on mail chimp campaigns and other outreach efforts.
- Recommends marketing events or initiatives in the Hampton area.
- Assists the Director of Client Development in the creation and execution of weekly, monthly and/or quarterly marketing events and collaborations.
- Maintains detailed understanding of all Master Center programs in order to communicate accurately and effectively with referral resources.
- Educates and informs referral resources about new programs.
- Establishes an effective referral pathway for referral partners under the direction of the Director of Client Development.
Management Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides oversight and direction to Outreach Coordinators in accordance with the organization’s policies and procedures.
- Meets with team members individually on a regular basis in order to provide support and monitors progress toward goals.
- Participates in onboarding, coaching, mentoring and developing Outreach Coordinators.
- Assists Director of Client Development in meeting the organization's expectations for productivity, quality, continuous improvement, and goal accomplishment.
- Communicates information through department meetings, one-on-one meetings, email, messaging and regular interpersonal communication.
- Facilitates performance management activities for direct reports by deadlines.
- Identifies opportunities to educate the community and promotes the Master Center brand.
Special Projects as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- 2-3 years of related work experience in outreach and business development
- 1-2 years of supervisory or management experience
- Experience in the healthcare industry a plus, but not required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Ability to learn new software applications
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Valid State driver’s license required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
This position is Monday through Friday 8AM to 5PM. Some weekend and evening hours may be required for business development tasks. Regular travel is required for this position. Travel is reimbursed in accordance with our Expense Reimbursement Policy.
Location: Hampton, Virginia, 23666- this position will cover the entire Hampton Roads area and will require regular meetings with and travel to partners within the region

Salary: $60-$70,000 annual base salary plus an incentive structure based on new patient acquisition
