Job Summary

Production Supervisor at Paragon Medical- Southington is an integral part of the operations and are provided with tasks that are both technical and managerial. This position will be responsible for leading multiple departments and carrying out organizational objectives for profitability and sustainability.

Reporting To:

Manufacturing Operations Manager

Shift Hours: 2:45p - 11:15p M-F

Essential Job Functions:

• Oversee production, assigning roles and responsibilities.
• Set, track, and approve production schedules.
• Recruit, train, and develop employees.
• Review and complete required daily documentation.
• Conduct employee reviews, and any counseling for associates in assigned departments.
• Assists engineers in NPI/RP processes, as needed.
• Support team leads to overcome production constraints.
• Support and facilitate continuous improvement efforts within assigned departments.
• Actively promote safety within departments, including the appropriate use of proper PPE.
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of manufacturing policies

Education & Experience:

• Degree in business management, manufacturing, or related field; or equivalent work experience of 7 years.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in manufacturing.
• Minimum of 2 years’ supervisory experience required.
• Computer literacy using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) required.

Physical Requirements:

Paragon Medical- Southington is a manufacturing environment. The employee must be able to remain in a stationary position including sitting or standing for prolonged periods of time. The employee is expected to perform actions that include bending, kneeling, or crouching, reach, push, and/or pull objects. The employee will be required to communicate with others and work in a noise environment.
