With a rich 49+ year history of providing innovative architecture, engineering, environmental, and planning services, the Project Accountant plays an integral role within the firm’s multi-disciplinary team.

While responsible for supporting and contributing to a variety of tasks, the Project Accountant position offers a challenging and rewarding experience to learn and strengthen skills, assist team members with creative solutions, and the ability to grow professionally, all while embodying ISG culture.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Provide ongoing project related support and assist project managers with processing of monthly invoices and providing project related information and reports as requested.
• Assist Lead Project Accountant with special projects and other tasks as needed.
• Work with Accounts Receivable Coordinator to investigate and address billing related issues to ensure timely and accurate customer billing and payment.
• Review and approve employee expense receipts and ensure compliance with firm policy. Follow up with employees to obtain missing documentation or inaccurate information from expense reports.
• Contribute creative and ingenious ideas to the Finance and Accounting team to improve current processes and create efficiencies.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Completion of 2-year administrative or accounting program or 2+ years of experience in an accounting related role.
• Experience with project-based accounting encouraged but not required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Positive, can-do attitude with a desire to continuously improve.
• Self-directed and can work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Teamwork philosophy with the desire to assist others when needed.
