Essential Job Accountabilities:
- Manages projects including setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities and monitoring and summarizing progress of project.
- Prepares reports for upper management regarding status of projects on an ongoing basis to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and deadlines are met.
- Works with Directors to convene various improvement committees and work groups, set agenda to drive desired meeting and project outcomes and ensure proper recording of relevant activities.
- Acts as knowledge expert for continuous quality improvement project management activities.
- Monitors and tracks all project-specific resources, progress, delays and interruptions, attendance, metrics, failures, successes, and outcomes.
- Assist with developing and executing transitions of ownership following the placement of a project into the “control” phase.
- Collects and analyzes data entry on relevant quality project indicators, and monitors data collection practices to ensure data integrity.
- Work with the Quality improvement team to review current industry research and strategize on improvement efforts to achieve the Triple Aim.
- Assists in developing short range plans for overall area activities. Develops and oversees the implementation of certain Systemwide quality improvement programs and strategies.
- Responsible for identifying and managing failure modes, and, in collaboration with the Lean Transformation team, problem solving and adapting to rapidly changing systems.
- Define and track project milestones, develop and manage mitigation measures to minimize risk to the projects and the business, and proactively identify and resolve conflicts as needed.
- Serve as a key contact for escalation in multidiscipline, cross-functional teams, ensuring the delivery of a high-functioning and highly supportive Quality Improvement division.
- Minimum of Bachelor's degree in related health field OR equivalent experience in nursing; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years related healthcare experience required.
- Minimum of 2 years project or program management experience required.
- Experience or training in quality and performance improvement methods, performance improvement plan development, data management systems and visual management systems, program evaluation, and evaluating clinical quality performance and outcomes required.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required.
- Intermediate User Knowledge of Project Management Software (PMS) Systems: Microsoft Project, Monday.com, Airtable, Sharepoint, etc.
- Knowledgeable of current trends in quality improvement in managed health care.
- Ability to be flexible in the face of changing priorities.
- Ability to work effectively across departmental lines.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities, ability to multi-task.
- Intermediate computer knowledge: Uses Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows.
Job Summary:The Project Manager of Quality Improvement will work with Lean Transformation team and collaboratively with the Chief Medical Officer and oversee all aspects of quality improvement projects. This position is responsible for providing project management to key strategic initiatives in support of the mission and vision of NCH Healthcare System. Typically, under the direction of a Quality Leader or Executive, the Project Manager works collaboratively with the Lean Transformation team in order to deliver organized and sustainable changes to operating processes and workflows. The Project Manager of Quality Improvement oversees the facilitation and management of projects including but not limited to: innovation piloting, solution trialing, project development and management coaching, etc. In addition, the role will support in the development, measurement, evaluation, and control of clinical systems and processes which improve efficiency, quality of care and health outcomes. The Project Manager compiles and drives documentation for the project(s), ensuring the accurate collection and quality of relevant information, as well as, coaching for outcomes in order to drive systemic, sustainable change.
