FES is currently hiring a RF Performance Engineer, Nokia to support an exciting and ongoing 5G project. The successful candidate will be able to utilize their creativity and sound judgment to offer the proper design and optimization for the part of the network assigned to them. This role will work with cross-functional team members to gain the support required to carry out the assignments. Potential role to work from home.
Project Duration- Full Time with FES. This is remote.
Description:
- Experience in UMTS, LTE, IOT, vRAN, ORAN and 5G/5G+ RAN Architecture.
- Very strong experience in Nokia LTE & 5G RAN Features Tuning, Parameters and Counters.
- Hands-on Nokia RAN Performance Troubleshooting and Improvement.
- Implementation support for RAN optimization improvements, including capacity, coverage and quality enhancements.
- Optimization of network KPIs such as DL & UL throughputs, Call drop, HOF, RACH SR, etc., VoLTE KPIs under pre-defined benchmark values.
- Expertise with the use of RF Optimization tools, Performance Management tools, GIS tools (i.e. MapInfo, Google Earth), as well as Optimization Tools (i.e. Actix One).
- Conduct analysis of LTE KPIs, as well as investigate and improve network quality by utilizing engineering tools such as drive test data collection and post processing tools, and network performance statistics monitoring and analysis tools.
- Investigate network performance for new integration sites and evaluate site level and cluster level KPIs.
- Work with the client teams to improve/ maintain the site performance.
- Layer management and traffic balancing.
Good to have:
- Experienced in using and creating Tableau & Power BI Reports. Data crunching skills using Python, SQL and FME is highly desirable.
- At&t Experience is desirable
- Nokia experience is a must.
