The Senior Accountant will perform duties relative to daily accounting operations and assist the Accounting Department management in the preparation of various financial statements, tax returns, and a variety of accounting reports.

Essential Responsibilities :

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and year end statements and financial reports.
• Reconcile and analyze leader accounts.
• Perform all accounting and related reporting for the investment portfolio(s).
• Facilitate communication between departments and Accounting to resolve challenges crossing department lines.
• Handle all aspects of Agent compensation, year-end reporting, and 1099s.
• Remain up to date with industry issues and developments which may have direct impact on the department or the organization as a whole.
• Participate in the development and implementation of Accounting systems when and where requested.
• Act as Supervisor for Accounting employees when and where needed.

Some Required Qualifications:

• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Products with an emphasis on Excel
• Working knowledge of Word and Database software.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Non-Profit accounting experience a plus

Experience

• 3 year(s): Minimum of 3 years accounting experience

Education

• Bachelors or better in Accounting or related field

• Certified Public Acctant
