Job description
Seeking a highly motivated, customer focused Detention Systems Service Manager to run our small but expanding service department. We are looking for either an experienced service manager candidate or a motivated field-based employee wanting to take the next step in their career.
Founded in 2014, Corrections Technology Group (CTG) originally focused on new construction & upgrading and replacing existing detention security systems. CTG is now positioned to focus on growing the service side of our business. To that end our industry is highly specialized. CTG utilizes systems and products not normally found in commercial applications.
This position will work primarily out of our Spokane Valley, WA location. Once entrenched in the position the successful candidate will travel approximately 25% of the time. Initially travel time could be as high as 50%. The successful candidate is expected to get “hands-on” with much of the equipment the company services.
Understanding that Detention Security is very much a niche industry, the company is willing to train the right individual who has a strong background in commercial security systems.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Supervise field technicians who are sent out to conduct repairs and Preventative Maintenance (PM).
· Schedule travel for service employees.
· Train Service Technicians.
· Dispatch service technicians to job sites.
· Travel to customer sites to ensure customer needs are met and to check on employees.
· Ensure service billings are completed for services provided in a timely manner.
· Be primary point person for phone support for customers.
Requirements:
· Strong Leadership skills.
· Ability to communicate equally well with both customers and technicians alike.
· Able to present technical information to non-technical customers & co-workers.
· Strong technical background in either detention security or commercial security systems.
· Proven problem-solving capabilities.
· Ability to handle responsibility and the pressure of meeting deadlines.
· Knowledge of basic Microsoft Office suite & have a high comfort level using basic office software packages.
· Ability to pass both background and drug tests on a regular basis.
Experience:
· Minimum Five years of experience as a technician for either a detention systems company or commercial security integrator.
· Minimum one year of team leadership and/or management. Experience dealing with remote employees preferred
· Strong working knowledge of multiple CCTV, Access Control, Intercom & related Low Voltage systems.
· Experienced in making program changes to security related systems.
· PLC & HMI experience strongly desired.
· At least two years working in service or customer service oriented field.
· Financial Statement Experience a plus.
