Empire Refractory Services is looking for a candidate who will be able to come to work and work hard, stay focused, and develop their construction aptitude. Our organization offers the ability to learn welding, torch cutting, casting refractory, and trowel finishing. We work 8:00a.m.-4:30p.m. Monday-Friday at our Indianapolis location. Our field operations allow for ample overtime. 12 hour shifts, 1.5x hourly rate for any time over 8 hours, overtime all day Saturday, double time on Sunday, per diem, mileage, travel pay(hourly rate), as well as hotel allowance. We are an established organization seeking individuals who want to grow their knowledge and skill set within the masonry industry.

DAILY TASKS:

-Lift 50 lbs., bend/squat, and work in awkward positions at times

-Use hand tools, tape measure(without little fractions), level, and comprehend congruent and complimentary angles.

- Learn new things, adapt to change, and use criticism for personal growth
- Follow instructions and improve work continuously

REQUIREMENTS:

-2-3 years experience with mechanical skills, tile cutting, welding, or refractory.

-Proficiency with common construction tools, Fork lifts, welding, as well as understanding concepts such as the Structural composition of an arch and geometric sketches/construction drawing interpretation
- Osha 10 hour, First Aid, and lock-out-tag-out safety training preferred

-Driver’s License, High School Diploma(GED or equivalent), ability to pass a drug screen and enroll in our Random Sample program

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
