Job description
Candidate will participate in full life cycle development of products in a team environment. Candidate will work closely with development staff and product managers to design and implement software components. Candidates will perform, implement, a broad range of computer systems analysis and design functions. Candidate will be designing software modules, and integrated software systems, to accommodate multiple business information functions and Internet data transactions. Candidate will write programs in Java and/or in C and C++. Candidate will also be responsible for web application development using J2EE, JSP, Servlets, Hibernation and scripting languages like JavaScript and PHP on Java Enterprise application servers and document the systems design and processes involved in running and managing the software modules developed. Candidate will also be responsible for configuring, managing and monitoring the application servers. Candidate will have to write unit tests to perform daily regression testing of the software components he is responsible for and work with Quality Assurance engineers to improve the quality of software. Candidates will also prepare software development related project assignments for offshore development and work with them in day to day work.
BS in Computer Science or Engineering
1 or more years of experience working with software programming languages
Excellent problem solving skills
Good written and verbal communication skills
Comfortable working in a highly distributed international team
