Duties and Responsibilities:

As a Strategic Communications Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Direct support to stakeholder communications, outreach, and engagement activities
• Build and manage trusted relationships with partners to strengthen the security, resilience, and reliability of U.S. federal networks
• Proactively assess and foster relationships between CISA and partners
• Communicate, coordinate, and share information with several information sharing and analysis centers for insight into private-sector incident operations
• Coordinate significant briefings, meetings, and conferences with partners and constituents during major incidents
• Identify information exchange channels between partners to allow wider access to critical cybersecurity information
• Operate on a strategic level to create a shared situational awareness of events between all appropriate parties within CISA and sector stakeholders
• Ensure efforts add maximum value to the cyber community in order to act on hardening their defensive cybersecurity posture
• Provide technical briefings on CISA activities to numerous trusted partners on a continuing basis to gain a common situational awareness
• Maintain consistent communication, coordination, and relationship management processes to promote the flow of cybersecurity information
• Coordinate with CISA branches to provide partners with analysis of malware and/or other indicators of compromise
• Participate in inter-agency sponsored community of interest analysis groups to provide a global perspective and international partner feedback
• Assist with developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures for partner management and internal processes
• Support the development of performance metrics to capture all contact with foreign partners

Required Qualifications:

• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
  • For continued employment, the selected candidate must obtain and maintain a favorably adjudicated DHS background investigation
• Minimum 7 years of relevant work experience
• Superb written and oral communication skills and a demonstrated ability to collaborate across multiple functions and geographies while delivering meaningful, high-impact results
• Process mapping, improvement, and implementation experience
• Consultative mindset combined with project-based execution

• DHS suitability at the SCI level
