DUTIES: The Telemetry Technician is based in the Critical Care Unit (CCU). They monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms on patients throughout the hospital setting. The primary responsibility of the Telemetry Technician is to continuously monitor and document rhythms and notify nursing staff of any rhythm changes. The telemetry technician also directs patient/visitor traffic, answers the phone and door bell, orders medical/office supplies and helps with the upkeep of CCU and Telemetry Units. The telemetry technician will assist with patient care as directed by nursing staff. The Telemetry Technician may float to other units to assist in the care of patients within their skill set and training.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of high school education. Previous experience in a healthcare setting is helpful.
Will complete a Basic Cardiac Rhythm Class within 6 months of hire and Basic Life Support (BLS) within 3 months of hire.
CMS requires that health care staff be Covid-19 vaccinated any sincere Religious or Medical Exemptions will be considered.
