Job Summary
Responsible for the drafting, review, and negotiation of a variety of complex vendor agreements, statements of work (SOW), amendments and vendor agreement templates for execution by ICANN’s contracted parties.
Develop RFIs, RFPs, and/or RFQs with minimum guidance and manage the analysis and proposal reviews. Partner closely with internal stakeholders (e.g., Procurement and Legal) throughout the vendor selection process and up to the contract’s execution.
Onboard and offboard vendors, in line with the ICANN organization’s policies and procedures. Ensure up-to-date recording of related data in ICANN org’s systems of records.
Assume contract and relationship management responsibilities for vendors assigned to you, including contract renewals, assignment of vendor contracts, related system updates, and communication to vendors, ICANN org’s contracted parties, and internal stakeholders.
Manage and coordinate the work of vendors to ensure deliverables meet requirements for quality, timeliness and stay within budgetary constraints. Assist with vendor invoice review and corrections as needed.
Propose, support, and implement vendor-related system and process improvements.
This role impacts a range of stakeholder, operational, project and service activities within its own team and other related teams.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Prepare and assess RFIs, RFPs, and/or RFQs and present the analysis/proposal reviews to internal teams. Coordinate vendor selection processes.
- Manage vendor relationships, vendor onboarding and offboarding, and vendor contracts, including contract renewal and termination processes.
- Support contract negotiations and the drafting of SOW and contracts.
- Build and maintain strong vendor relationships.
- Verify vendor work products and vendor invoices.
- Lead and support vendor-related projects, coordinate tasks cross-functionally, report on progress and ensure timely, high-quality, and within budget deliverables.
- Track and report on vendor-related metrics on a weekly, monthly, annual and/or ad hoc basis.
- Identify opportunities for system, process, and procedural improvements.
- Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
- Develop subject matter expertise in the areas of responsibility assigned to you.
- Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
- In-depth knowledge and experience in developing and conducting RFIs, RFQs and/or RFPs for professional services required.
- Experience in negotiating and writing draft SOW and contracts required.
- Experience with ERP systems required (Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP preferred).
- Knowledge of the procurement process and experience with requisition submission/management and purchase order processes required.
- Knowledge of e-procurement platforms a plus (Jaggaer preferred).
- In-depth vendor management and contract management experience required.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office and G Suite.
- Strong relationship building, negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to explain difficult or sensitive information and work to build consensus.
- Project management experience and knowledge of project management and/or work collaboration tools required (experience with Smartsheet preferred).
- Knowledge of project management frameworks and concepts preferred.
- Experience with the development of process flowcharts and flowchart tools (e.g. Lucidchart, MS Visio) a plus.
- Detail-oriented, able to produce high quality deliverables.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, including teammates, subject matter experts, department heads and vendors.
- Comfortable interacting with cross-functional teams.
- High self-initiative with the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
- Adaptable to new technologies, organizational and procedural changes.
- Knowledge of the domain name industry and concepts a plus.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Minimum of 5+ years of related professional experience.
- Prior experience working for an international organization preferred.
Languages:
- Fluency, both written and spoken, in English is required.
