The mission of the VP, Corporate Security is to create a comprehensive strategy to provide a safe and secure workplace environment for all employees. The VP, Corporate Security will be responsible for leading investigations- managing and investigating cases and incidents of violence, and wrongdoing against Lendmark, Lendmark employees, Lendmark contractors & Lendmark vendor partners. The incumbent will also manage the efforts of other investigation partners assigned to assist in corporate investigations, in areas of theft, vandalism, policy violations, and personal safety concerns. The VP, Corporate Security will be a self-starter and proven leader, with a passion for independent, creative problem-solving, and have relentlessly high standards, with proven written and data analysis skills, and a history of taking ownership of strategy, issues, and investigations with a strong commitment to raise the bar of performance and achieve results. Responsible to develop and deliver upon physical security strategy in support of and in alignment with the business. Specifically, drive implementation of security strategy and objectives in alignment with Lendmark business objectives and culture.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead creation and execution of an enterprise-wide security program.
  • Responsible for Corporate Security vision, strategy, structure, priorities, and policies.
  • Serve as a physical security risk subject matter expert and trusted advisor to internal stakeholders to advocate for appropriate, balanced, and reasonable risk mitigation about physical security risks.
  • Monitor and assess physical security risk to Lendmark and Lendmark employees and, in collaboration with stakeholders, ensure that external events and emerging risks are assessed, and managed accordingly.
  • Oversee the development, review, maintenance and delivery of training, policies, procedures and security education and awareness products related to the effective and efficient delivery of security services to Lendmark and Lendmark employees, and to effective employee response to physical security risks, life safety risks and emergencies.
  • Collaborate with the business to include, functional areas and risk partners, to ensure physical security risks are identified, mitigated, and satisfactorily resolved.
  • Work in partnership with leaders within Lendmark, and externally with vendors, to execute objectives and impact results.
  • Maintain knowledge of physical security and life safety best practices, trends, and their implication to Lendmark, by engaging in continuous learning; and building and maintaining external relationships and affiliations.
  • Be accountable for budgeting and financial management, supporting business growth, and scaling for operational excellence.
  • Lead regional crisis/incident management, communications, and response.
  • Support major company events (i.e., Choice Awards, Manager Meeting, etc.) to ensure a viable security plan.
  • Plan and prepare for crisis response, disaster recovery, evacuation, workplace violence, and other emergency or adverse events in part by developing and maintaining the company’s business continuity plan.
  • Build and maintain a network of security vendors, resources, and consultants to supplement existing capabilities when necessary.
  • Work closely with company leaders to help identify gaps in security and threats to Lendmark, its employees, contractors, and infrastructure.
  • Manage threats/incidents of violence or wrongdoing against Lendmark’s interests in a variety of work environments, including “virtual” workspaces.
  • Provide investigative services and guidance for company’s corporate environment and work with cross-functional teams throughout the organization (Legal, Human Resources, Finance, Corporate Audit, Operations, and other related areas).
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and mentor for conducting and managing a variety of investigations within a corporate environment.
  • Escalate threats/issues as necessary to law enforcement and other internal and external resources.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies.
  • Develop professional relationships across the entire footprint. Work effectively with stakeholders and with key partners in Human Resources, Legal, Audit, etc.
  • Manage risk relative to position
Qualifications:
  • 10+ years’ experience in a corporate security role: conducting investigations, managing investigators, conducting risk assessments, and/or managing complex threat cases, and/or force protection.
  • 5+ years’ experience in a corporate security leadership role developing and executing strategy.
  • Bachelor's degree in in law enforcement, criminal justice, law, security, or related discipline preferred from an accredited college or university
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Proven skills and success delivering sensitive communications to victims, witnesses, customers and partners involved in crimes or other traumatic events.
  • A proven history of working with senior level employees and providing information to guide them in making them timely decisions as it relates to security
  • A proven history of building effective partnerships with internal and external, cross-functional stakeholders
  • Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) or Professional Certified Investigator (PCI) certification preferred.
  • Results-oriented leader that possesses strong influencing skills and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with building and maintaining Public/Private partnerships and safety related committees and industry groups.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify security gaps and opportunities and develop appropriate mitigation recommendations and plans, from a multidisciplinary perspective.

  • Travel as needed potentially up to 25%
