• Hires and supervises all facility personnel.
• Establishes operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory counts current.
• Inspects and maintains the physical/mechanical condition of warehouse and equipment.
• Understands and follows all TAMKO SOPs.
• Understands, follows and enforces all TAMKO safety/compliance rules and practices including the use of personal protection equipment (PPE).
• Keeps the facility in compliance with all, city, county, state, and federal regulations.
• Occasionally operates forklifts to load and unload all inbound and outbound trailers/railcars according to TAMKO SOPs.
• Interfaces with customers, occasionally placing their orders for inventoried and special order products.
• Manages inventory levels and turns to levels set by the WH GM and TAMKO corporate.
• Communicates with TAMKO Logistics and carriers, including rail service providers, to ensure daily shipment requirements are completed.
• Foresees problems before they become a reactive task, and to coordinate to best address competing priorities.
• Communicates to TAMKO Corporate, in a timely manner, any issues or incidents.
• Reviews, analyzes, and suggests improvements in order to operate more efficiently and effectively.
• Works with TAMKO corporate to manage facility financials.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous management experience preferred.
• Current forklift certification
• Valid driver’s license.

• The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds, with assistance.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to position himself/herself to operate, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and/or or maintain heavy warehouse equipment. This may require climbing stairs/ladders, bending, kneeling, crawling, and/or stooping. The employee must be able to inspect equipment and detect equipment malfunctions, as well as utilize tools to repair and maintain equipment.
• The employee is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions. The employee may be exposed to extreme cold for periods of more than one hour where the temperature is below 32 degrees. The employee may be subjected to extreme heat for period of more than one hour where the temperature is more than 100 degrees. The employee may also be exposed to sufficient noise to cause the employee to shout to be heard above the ambient noise level. Hazards may include: proximity to moving mechanical parts or vehicles, electrical current, working in high places, and possible exposure to chemicals. The employee may be subject to fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases, etc. There may be exposure to oils and other cutting fluids. The employee is required to wear steel-toed boots, hard-hat, safety glasses, and hearing protection.
