Job description
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
To provide support in acquiring, tracking, controlling and disposing of the federally funded fixed assets in a manner that safeguards and allows for sound management to ensure learning opportunities specifically for the economically disadvantaged student group.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
High School Diploma or GED, required
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Effective interpersonal skills
Computer application skills
Knowledge of Federal programs regulations of inventory control
Experience:
Three (3) years of computerized inventory control/materials management, preferred
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Adheres to guidelines for acquisition, maintenance, retention and disposition of fixed assets and associated records.
2. Affixes inventory tags to designated assets and equipment and replaces damaged tags. Ensures inventory tags are used in sequential order to avoid duplicates or breaks in numerical order.
3. Maintains perpetual inventory records in the fixed asset management system by gathering data, completing required forms/logs, and entering, deleting and correcting inventory records.
4. Tracks asset repair cost and utilization information to assist in making replacement-planning decisions.
5. Performs basic periodic system functions such as calculating periodic depreciation, projecting depreciation amounts into future periods, updating replacement costs and updating insured values.
6. Coordinates and performs scheduled and periodic physical inventories by locating and counting assets, loading field inventory results and reconciling exceptions.
7. Meets on a daily basis with Director for State and Federal Programs to provide updates, changes and/or discuss pertinent information regarding inventory of fixed assets.
8. Maintains the records library (Note: all files involving State and Federal Programs Office), located in a remote locale, on a monthly basis, and to assure that proper records/files/materials are properly processed
and are disposed of according to U.S. Department of Education, Texas Education Agency and District policy.
9. Assists with receiving and disseminating of new A/V equipment, furniture and materials.
10. Aids in setting up A/V equipment and furniture for staff and in-service meetings.
11. Advises Director for State and Federal Programs of any stolen, lost or missing equipment and assists in preparing reports on stolen equipment.
12. Assists with delivering Title I program documentation to campuses and/or other locations.
13. Follows McAllen ISD customer service standards.
14. Performs other duties assigned by immediate supervisor (primary evaluator) in accordance with funding source guidelines.

Hourly Pay Range:
Minimum: $13.48
Midpoint: $16.24
Maximum: $19.00
Note: Starting pay for a new hire in a pay range plan will be determined individually based on each person's job-related experience and salaries paid to peer employees in the same position with similar experience.
