Position Summary:
Safely and efficiently operate bottle unloading equipment to which assigned in a manner that ensure Company standards for quality are continuously met while consistently attaining goals for productivity.
2nd Shift hours: 5:00 pm to 3:30 am
Hourly rate: $15.00-17.00 per hour + Shift Differential
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Is knowledgeable of requirements for the various changeovers and assists in efficiently and effectively executing changeovers as necessary throughout the production schedule.
- Knowledgeable of daily line routines for set-up, start-up, and/or shut down and perform each as the need for them applies.
- Trained to satisfactorily operate at any of the three packaging line bottle unloading areas.
- Operates equipment on rotating basis with other bottle unloading personnel.
- Performs all tasks and functions of the job in a safe manner at all times.
- Performs all tasks and functions of the job in a manner that upholds Company standards for product quality.
- Provides varying levels of “on-the-job” training to new hires and agency employees as well as assisting with the continuing development of peers.
- Makes every reasonable effort to avoid downtime or to shorten periods of unavoidable downtime.
- Attends Company sponsored training and informational meetings when scheduled.
- All other duties as assigned by management.
Desired Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in food manufacturing beneficial.
Competencies:
- Must be able to work in a team environment and have a positive attitude.
- Must have good written and oral communication skills.
- Experience working with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) preferred.
- Experience with quality and hygiene requirements common in food manufacturing preferred.
- Experience working in a production environment with food or other FDA regulated products preferred.
Work Environment:
- Occasionally exposed to hazards in a manufacturing environment not limited to, physical, chemical or airborne hazards
- Loud working environment
Physical Demands:
- Required to stand for the duration of the production shift.
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds at or above shoulder level.
