2nd Shift Production Quality Assurance Specialist
Job description
Position Summary
The Production Quality Assurance Specialists is responsible to assist in managing quality procedures, inspections, and complaints while supporting the production team of Haerter Stamping, LLC as a rapidly growing, international supplier of high-precision stamping, molding, tooling, and assemblies primarily delivering to Tier 1 and Tier 2 automotive suppliers.
Requirements:
- Must be able to read blueprints.
- Previous automotive experience is required At least 3 years of manufacturing experience.
- At least 1 year of quality department specific experience.
- GD&T knowledge/experience.
- Can properly use calipers, micrometers, gages, CMM, OGP, and Keyence.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work and communicate well with others.
- Computer skills. (including Microsoft Office)
- Excellent attendance
- Can complete required tasks with minimal supervision
Responsibilities:
- Incoming inspection
- Manage supplier quality complaints
- Complete supplier ratings following established procedures
- Part measurement to support production (first and last piece approvals)
- Conduct measurements using CMM, OGP, Keyence, Calipers, Micrometers, comparator, Go/No-Go Gages)
- Track supplier PPM, defect rates, and types
- Assist with managing discrepant material and organizing sorting activities
- Tracking and maintaining supplier PPAP submissions
- Entering data into m-station
- Working towards the defined quality goals
- Responsible for compliance and observation of all applicable statutory provisions in intra-company policies
- Complies with and implements workplace protection/accident prevention and safety provision requirements.
- Commissioned to solve tasks based on instructions given by and in the name of the company.
- Projects the confidentiality, safeguards the non-disclosure of data and customer information.
- Responsible for order, cleanliness, and workplace safety
- Ensures the efficient use of raw materials, additives, and operating resources, resulting in a small environmental footprint.
- CIP: Optimization and further development of processes and workflows
- Self-accountable taking of action and approach to work.
- Diligent handling of all operating resources
- Any other duties as assigned.
