Etsy's Collaboration Systems team is seeking a creative and technically-minded A/V Support Engineer to support Etsians’ use of video conferencing technologies in their Brooklyn Headquarters.

The Collaboration Systems team’s mission is to provide and support Etsy Admin with reliable technology to collaborate, communicate, & connect across geographical boundaries. We're looking for a colleague eager to help us maintain a successful hybrid environment for Etsy admin.
About the Position
In this role you will be supporting our video conferencing technologies which requires you to be on-site at our Brooklyn HQ full time. We partner with our Employee Connections and Workplace teams to ensure that the technology is healthy for in-person and hybrid events. You should be prepared to perform regular maintenance ahead of high touch events. You will be the point of contact with our AV integrator for new A/V systems design and maintenance for our offices.

Responsibilities include:
Regular monitoring, maintenance, and inventory management of video conferencing room setups using Google Meet, Lenovo Series One kits, Avocor digital Whiteboards, etc.
Tier 2 in-person support for our Brooklyn office and remote support for our regional Hub offices
Problem Solving issues with A/V technology and performing necessary hardware swaps or RMAs
Occasional white glove service for our executive team
Video Conferencing and collaboration trainings for our partner teams and Etsy Admin
Liaise with our AV integration partner to ensure delivery of work is up to Etsy standards
Keep the team up to date on the health and status of the conference rooms and escalate any issues in a timely manner
Collaborate and align with our internal partner teams to ensure seamless hybrid event execution
This is only an example of the work you’d do and there is likely more you’d be doing in order to improve upon our admin’s hybrid experience
About You
You are a natural communicator, patient listener, and compassionate when helping others. When approaching technical issues, you're confident you will find a quick resolution or workaround. Our community and its needs are always changing; you should enjoy staying organized, and maintain a “can-do” attitude in a dynamic workplace.

You will be successful in this role if you:
1-5 years related experience
Have fantastic technical troubleshooting skills, and a sense of humor
Have a deep understanding of standard A/V hardware
Have a strong interest in learning more about new developments in video conferencing and collaboration technologies
Are flexible with your schedule to come in early or stay a bit later, but otherwise work standard business hours
Approach your work as a craft and enjoy collaborating with other creative problem solvers
Are familiar with Google Meet, Miro, and digital whiteboard hardware
To note, the preferred work mode for this role is FT in-office as the worker will be expected to support in-office equipment and user support which will not work well as Flex/hybrid
