Part-Time Academic Interventionist

Tamarack Waldorf School is currently seeking part-time Academic Interventionist for the 2023-2024 school year.  The qualified candidates must have a love for the work and imagination of children and demonstrate care and patience for children ages 8-14. Tamarack Waldorf School has a robust K – 8th grade enrollment of approximately 230 students and participates in the Milwaukee Parental Choice (voucher) Program. We have a culturally, economically, and racially diverse student body from throughout the Milwaukee region and strive to meet the needs of every student. Our teachers are trained in many disciplines with a focus on healthy child development.

Our Academic Interventionist will administer and process academic screeners, collaborate with classroom teachers and work alongside our Learning Support Team. Our top candidate will work with students focusing mainly on math and reading interventions. They will help conduct and develop appropriate interventions for students in 3rd through 8th grade and focus on working with individual and small groups of students. Our Academic Interventionist will conduct student progress monitoring, help to support students in other ways as needed such as emotional and social support.
