About the Account Manager - ExxonMobil:

MarketStar is seeking a remote Account Manager. During the 12-week training period this position will be reporting to our Program Manager. Once training is complete the Account Manager will report to a Sales Manager and support a set of accounts based on fit and need across the OEM, National Account, or Distributor Account portfolios. As an integral part of our team, the Account Managers are the key to providing value to our clients and growing our business.

Location: Ogden or SLC, UT - Hybrid

What will you do?

  • Own a strategic book of accounts as the primary resource for contact and support
  • Drive sales and manage pipeline across your set of customer accounts
  • Identify customer needs as associated with our product and provide solutions
  • Drive targeted product campaigns across key customers with priority for retention and growth
  • Build and maintain strong line of communication through email, phone calls, and Zoom meetings
  • Execute a proactive and reactive outreach to customers
  • Solve problems with customer challenges, ultimately becoming the hero of the day
  • Work with stakeholders, customers and internal teams to assign product allocation, prioritize shipments, and create solutions for all involved parties
  • Provide guidance regarding product volumes and order timelines
  • Leverage independence in your workday to prioritize tasks, projects, and initiatives
  • Communicate insights, learnings, and opportunities for program and process improvement

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Professional communication and experience, both written and oral, with all levels, from shipping coordinator to C-suite/VP
  • Constant drive for improvement, proactively seeking and providing coaching and guidance from peers and managers as a team player with a collaborative operating style
  • The desire and ability to learn on the fly and think creatively
  • Excellent time management skills, with proven ability to meet deadlines and maintain urgency, prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate
  • Ability to read and apply reporting to daily decisions (forecasting, opportunities, sales revenue, etc.)
  • Exposure to logistics such as knowledge of product, basic supply chain process, service metrics, etc.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality while functioning in a high-paced and, at times, stressful environment
  • Proficient in Excel, Outlook, Salesforce and other sales tools preferred
