Job description
We are looking for an experienced Client Advisor to join our team. You’ll work directly with Restaurant Owner clients and their teams, to analyze financial data, and provide insights that help them achieve their financial goals. You will oversee a team of Staff Accountants, who are vital to the financial reporting process, and connect that team with the results that our clients need.
Our ideal candidate has in-depth knowledge of accounting, financial statements and budgeting procedures, as well as a flair for customer service and communication. You should be able to monitor financial transactions and recommend ways that our clients can improve their financial health, and be able to communicate this information in a professional and well-versed manner.
Previous work experience as a CPA, Controller, or Client Advisor, along with a degree in Accounting, is required for this role. Ultimately, you will play a vital role in the financial operations of 15-20 clients, ensuring they are making the best financial decisions.

Responsibilities
The Client Advisor has a set client list, for which they provide the following services:
- Establish a trusting relationship with each Client. Meet with them on a regular basis, to understand their financial needs and problems, and find ways to solve those problems.
- Analyze Sales, Labor and Cash Flow reports, monthly financial statements and cost accounting reports
- Provide feedback to each Client about these reports, communicating their overall financial health, and pointing out areas of concern, through periodic virtual meetings
- Explain in laymen's terms the steps Clients can take to improve their profitability
- Understand and utilize the technology associated with the financial reports, including QuickBooks Desktop software, Microsoft Excel, Tableau and cloud-based document sharing software
- Look for inaccuracies in the financial statements, and work with the Staff Accountants to resolve systematic issues and improve those processes
- Seek out and understand the Client's reporting needs, find the best way to utilize and produce that information, determine the ideal frequency of those reports, and implement a schedule for releasing those reports, in concert with the Staff Accountants
- Liaise with Tax Accountants to ensure accurate year-end reporting
- Stay informed on industry developments and changes in regulations
Skills
- Proven work experience as an Accountant
- Thorough knowledge of accounting and financial procedures
- Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Experience with accounting software, like QuickBooks Desktop
- Advanced MS Excel knowledge (familiarity with formulas, VLOOKUPs and other functions)
- Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail
- Integrity, with an ability to handle confidential information
- AA degree in Accounting and relevant work experience.
- CPA Designation preferred, but not required
- Strong aptitude with utilizing current technology - Internet, Laptops, multiple monitors, cloud-based document sharing, Remote Desktop connections - is required
Working Conditions
Working conditions are at your discretion, as this job is primarily a remote position. You must be able to provide yourself with an ideal workspace, with limited distractions. High speed Internet Service, at the candidate's cost, is required for all working environments. Standard work days for our team are Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. - 6 p.m.
