Our client, in business for over 60 years is a reputable nationwide construction firm based in a South Minneapolis suburb with offices throughout the US. They seek a Staff Accountant with 0-4 years of experience and a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting who seeks an opportunity to grow their career with a firm that has an incredible work environment, culture and work/life balance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Perform monthly account analysis and reconciliations and correcting dificiencies.

· Assist in the monthly, quarterly and annual close.

· Daily bank transactions and monitor the activity.

· Process Corporate invoices for proper coding and payment.

· Reconcile and review assigned general ledger accounts and prepare month end journal entries.

· Support the accounting department in designing, implementing and supporting procedures to ensure compliance with established policies.

· Assist the accounting department in initiatives and special projects to ensure timely, efficient and accurate information to internal and external customers.

· Perform financial analysis and provide meaningful insight to provide understanding of financial data.

· Reconcile and process transactions for related internal and third party entities.

· Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• They seek either an Entry Level or up to 4 years experience in the accounting field.
• Understanding the application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Computer literacy with MS Office, intermediate Excel and any accounting software preferred.

Employee Appreciation:

Salary $65,000 to 95,000/yr DOE

Above industry average annual bonus, profit sharing, 401k w/match, above industry average benefits package - family coverege at $250/mo and annual deductibles below $1,000, 3+ weeks PTO, and professional development riembursement.
