Accounting Assistant
We are a small independently-owned accounting services firm, looking to add a new junior associate to our team.
We offer a unique opportunity for a special candidate to acquire and develop a wide array of technical & management skills, while learning how small businesses operate behind the scenes.
This is an ideal position for a student considering a career in accounting or business management.
Our work is varied, fast-paced, challenging and interesting. We love what we do and we're very passionate about it. We are looking for someone who shares our values.
You are sharp, curious and love solving problems. You enjoy getting to know others and have strong writing and speaking skills. You love details and enjoy putting puzzles together. You pay close attention. You are trustworthy.
This is a Part-Time Remote position of 10-20 flexible hours per week as a W-2 employee. The majority of work is done during business hours, Monday - Friday.
You need to have a reliable computer with Windows, a smart phone, scanner, printer, and definitely a sense of humor.
We connect daily via phone, text, WhatsApp and zoom. We will also meet in person for a few hours every other month, in Midtown Manhattan.
Compensation starts at $18.75 per hour, and will increase based on your ability to gain an understanding of what we do. There is also opportunity for quarterly bonuses based on performance.
Our hope is to find someone who really gels with our team and wants to stay around for a while. If you do, you'll not only have a blast....you'll learn a ton and will be compensated accordingly.
