Summary: Under the supervision of the Director of Plan Analytics, the Accounting Manager ensures all monthly reporting is submitted to clients in a timely and accurate manner. This role provides oversite for all daily accounting activities and also ensures that processes and procedures are properly documented and revised, and that all departmental functions are performed in compliance with SOC requirements. The Accounting Manager communicates with clients on a frequent basis and ensures client overall satisfaction with the department.
Essential Functions:
Review month-end reporting created by accounting staff for accuracy and timeliness of completion, ensuring client deadlines are met
Review and perform accounting functions including A/R aging, A/P aging, Revenue Journal Entries, Claims Paid Journal Entries and IBNR (accruals)
Oversee the daily check-printing process for 80+ clients
Manage a team of 11+ team members
Identify areas of process improvement
Document and revise accounting processes and procedures
Ensure compliance with SOC requirements within the department
Manage year-end 1099 submissions to third-party vendor
Attend client calls to address questions/issues and to advise of process changes
Reconcile bank accounts
Provide direct reports with timely and constructive performance feedback
Ensure all direct reports are fully informed of operational objectives
Conduct regular meetings with direct reports to communicate priorities and coordination of activities
Support company-wide performance planning, coaching, appraisal and discipline programs to ensure consistent, fair, and transparent implementation and compliance with company policies and procedures.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Education- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting strongly preferred. May consider significant experience in a similar role in lieu of education.
Minimum of two years in a similar Management role providing people leadership and maintain a cohesive team.
Prior TPA, Health Care or Managed Care experience strongly preferred
Knowledge and experience with GAAP.
Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills, including recent use of pivot tables and formulas
Experience adhering to SOC requirements.
Willingness and ability to apply the TRHC 32 Fundamentals in a leadership role
Ability to set and meet high standards of service to develop a work force that embraces a culture of quality and service
Personal integrity and exemplary ethical standards
Physical Demands & Requirements:
Communicate by way of the telephone with participants, customers, vendors and staff
Operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, fax machine and office printer
Remain stationary for extended periods of time
Occasionally exert up to 20 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull or move objects
Visual acuity to perform activities such as identifying, inputting and analyzing data on a computer terminal and/or in hard copy
Occasional reaching to retrieve shelved items
Occasional bending/stooping
Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional or home office environment with a conversational noise level.
No substantial exposure to adverse environmental conditions is expected
Moderate pressure to meet scheduled appointments and deadlines
Potential for occasional verbal aggression by clients and vendors
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
