Brown & Brown is seeking a Premium Accounting Specialist to join our center of excellence in Tampa, FL! The Premium Accounting Specialist provides reporting and analysis to internal and external customers, including, but not limited to, Accounting Operations Leader and PL.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Coordinate all profit center accounting procedures to ensure proper accounting treatment and compliance to B&B accounting guidelines.
- Provides customer service support.
- Responds to all accounting questions/issues.
- Review and analyze the aged accounts receivables/payables, charge-offs and write-offs reports.
- Manage and assist operational teammates / agents in reconciliation, error correction and account record maintenance.
- Perform required maintenance of systems.
- Issue Accounts Payable checks
- Preparation and maintenance of bank reconciliation reports and records.
- Daily Deposits
- Run database reports as needed for various projects.
- Other duties as assigned
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- Requires ability to analyze data and arrive at logical conclusions.
- Planning and prioritizing work functions to ensure that all deadlines are met.
- Requires ability to work independently or within a team environment.
- 1 – 3 years’ experience in a similar position
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Proficient with MS Office Suite Products (Outlook, Excel, Word)
Preferred
- Experience with Agency Management systems
- Insurance Background
